Land Acknowledgment and Commitment to
Truth and Reconciliation in Saskatchewan

We respectfully acknowledge that we are on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories, traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota, Dakota, and Lakota peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis Nation.
We honor the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence has enriched these lands for centuries and continues to do so today. We recognize their inherent connection to this place and express our gratitude for their stewardship of the land.
As we operate on this land, we commit to fostering a deep understanding and respect for Indigenous perspectives, histories, and cultures. We acknowledge the initiatives of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and pledge to actively engage in the journey of reconciliation. This commitment encompasses ongoing education, building meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, and working collaboratively to address the calls to action.
May this acknowledgment serve as a small but sincere step towards creating a more just and equitable future for all who share these lands.
